Meredith Overholt, MD began practicing Dermatology in Knoxville in 1997, and was joined by Kimberly Grande, MD in 2001 doing business as The Skin Wellness Center. In 2005, they began plans to re-locate the practice and add additional services. The Skin Wellness Center opened its new office at 10215 Kingston Pike in January 2006. The mission of the practice is to offer scientifically screened, medically based, innovative services and products in a pleasant environment to benefit the health and wellness of our patients.
The new office has seperate reception and service areas for dermatology and cosmetics. A full spectrum of dermatology services is offered. Cosmetic services offered include microdermabrasion, fotofacials, chemical peels, injectables such as Botox, Restylane and Juvederm, laser hair removal, permanent cosmetics, sclerotherapy, leg vein treatment, and skin care products which meet the physicians stringent requirements. SWC is one of a very few centers to offer a new laser procedure - skin tightening - which has received significant media attention recently.
